I lost my phone
number, could I have yours on this volunteer registration card?
(Hampton Sims)
I hear you really
enjoy Kool-Aid and Graham Crackers!
(Susan Cutshall)
Don't you want to be
an example of a servant in front of your child? (Alan Weber)
Let me get this mirror,
so you can see yourself in our children's department. (Hampton
Sims)
How do you spell your name? I want to
make sure I have it spelled correctly on the class room door.
(Tim Stewart)
Do you want YOUR
children to be blessed? It's the Biblical principle of you reap what
you sow. (Matt Miller)
We would like you to
come and evaluate you child's class next week. (Tom Flores)
You look a lot like
my next volunteer. (Hampton Sims)
Now that you are a new member I would like to
give you the opportunity to get involved. (Ann Slaton)
Do you like piñata
parties & getting caught in the rain? (Hampton Sims)
Have you ever considered
making a difference in the life of a child? (Andrea Gunter)
Is your name Rose?
'Cause you'd look great planted in our children's ministry.
(Hampton Sims)
Can you spare 10 minutes
every eight weeks for the kids? That's only 6 times (one hour) a
year. This is how we got our actors for
Big City Studio. (Angie
Tabin)
As I watch you I know you love kids and
value them just like I do. I'd love to have you on my team. (Andrea
Gunter)
I see how the kids look at you and smile, that is because you
have a calling and an anointing given to you by the Lord God almighty
and you need to use your gift. Here is a bucket of Gator Snot please
follow me.
(Rick Carillo)
Is your name "Grace," 'cause you sure are amazing? (Kyle
McClure)
I have got something
awesome to show you in my office. I always have cool gadgets
and fun and exciting things in my office and that draws even the
adults in! Once they are in my office, the "ministry opportunities"
are so evident to them! (Josh Roberts)
I have a group of
boys who need someone like you in their lives. I know you could make
an amazing difference and be the one that they look back on as the guy
who really cared about what was going on in their life. Why don't you
come and join us on Sunday and see what you think about getting
involved? This is totally without expectation - just check it out and
we'll talk about it after. (Andrea Gunter)
I'm looking for
people who are willing to invest some time with 6-8 kids to forever
change their lives. Would you be willing to come upstairs Sunday
Morning to just see what we are doing? (Andrea Gunter)
If you help in kids
ministry I'll give you candy!
(anonymous)
The best one
we used was a poster board sized picture of one of the girls in the
Wednesday night class making this horribly sad puppy dog eyes face
with a thought bubble above it that said, "won't anyone please be
my teacher?" It was awesome. My people told us we were wrong for
doing it like that, but we go teachers!! (Matt Lundy)
The more I get to know
you, the more I see how much children could learn from you. The kids
in our church need to spend time with people like you. (Andrea
Gunter)
The next generation is here every Sunday...and they are thirsty.
(Kathy Burr)
Can you remember at what age you were
saved? (John Nelli)
Wow, our children's
ministries are really growing. Would you like to join our team?
(Renee Huss)
Can my wife and I take your family out to dinner? (Jeff
Hunter)
Now that you have
prayed about it, how do you want to be involved? (Susan
McKenzie)
Once I was recruiting someone
to lead our 5th and 6th graders. He said he would pray about it and let
me know. Well after several weeks of praying about it, I sent him an
email reading "This is God speaking through
Cretia's email and I think you should lead the 5th and 6th graders!"
Okay, maybe a little unethical but Cliff is one of the greatest
volunteers we have!!! (Cretia Myers)
